The Roscoff Onions are traditional onions recognised with an AOC and AOP approved label.

Description

The Roscoff onions have a pink coloured flesh.

They became famous thanks to the "Johnnies", breton onion sellers (mostly called Jean) who travelled from Roscoff in the 1800s to sell their products on the bikes in England. These men were wearing strings of onions on their bikes.
This packing is still available nowadays (Bunches with 1 kg)

Roscoff onions can be used raw or cooked.
They have a fruity aroma and a juicy flesh.
Cooking them intensifies their sweet and fruity flavour.

Weaving the onions allows a natural conservation blocking all gas exchanges at the tail.
The onion has a natural conservation until spring without using anti-germinative treatments.

Storage: in a dry and well ventilated place. don't keep them in the refrigerator.
