Quality and Food safety

There is a constant challenge to grow safe, healthy produce in a responsible way

Quality and security

DARWIN highly invested in food quality and safety.

2015 : DARWIN decided to become AEO certified for safety and security .
2016 : Our Company is full AEO certified. We were the first fresh fruit and vegetable company in BRITTANY to be certified .
(1377 companies are AEO certified in France in all sectors).

AEO status is a certified standard issued by customs administration in the EU.

It certifies that a business operation has reached a security, management systems, compliance with customs rules and ongoing solvency standards.

AEO status completes the Ecocert certification already awarded to DARWIN for organic fruits and vegetables.

Furthermore, most of our producers are GlobalG.A.P., ISO or ISF certified.

GLOBALG.A.P. GLOBALG.A.P. is an internationally recognized set of standards dedicated to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

For consumers and retailers, the GLOBALG.A.P. certificate is reassurance that food reaches accepted levels of safety and quality, and has been produced sustainably, respecting the health, safety and welfare of workers, the environment, and in consideration of animal welfare issues. Without such reassurance, farmers may be denied access to markets.

ISO: ISO, the International Organisation for Standardisation, promotes global standardisation for specifications and requirements for materials, products, procedures, formats, information and quality management.

IFS Broker: a relevant international food safety standard It is the certification scheme for the safety of the products in companies that purchase goods themselves , but do not themselves come into contact with the goods and have these goods delivered directly to their customers.

The Ecocert Certification: Certification bodies such as Ecocert have been accredited to award the certification for organics for a limited period. It responds to independence criteria as defined by European norms.
