Butternut

Cucurbita moschata "Butterbut"

Butternut squash has a bottle shape and a sweet and nutty taste. It has a tan-yellow skin and an orange fleshy pulp.

Description

The neck of the butternut is entirely usable because the small seed cavity is confined to the bulbous base of the fruit.

Butternut squashes have a cremy texture once cooked.

Mature products have a fine woody note on tapping, and feel heavy in hand.

Long neck butternut contains more meat and fewer hollow cavities and seeds.

Feel free to ask DARWIN for mixed pallets with several varieties.
